PRO-SET® Laminating Epoxies

PRO-SET® Laminating Epoxies are a versatile system of liquid resins and hardeners designed to meet a wide range of wet lay-up laminating applications.

STANDARD LAMINATING EPOXIES

PRO-SET® Laminating Epoxies can be used to create lightweight, high-performance composite structures that can withstand long-term cyclic loading in challenging environments. These epoxies bond well to core materials, wood, metal, and all types of reinforcing fabrics. They offer excellent moisture resistance, toughness, superior heat resistance, and fatigue resistance. PRO-SET Laminating Epoxies develop excellent physical properties at room temperature and can be post-cured for enhanced performance.

Laminating Epoxies can be dyed upon request for a visual quality control (otherwise known as Quality Control Green or QC). The resin will be dyed yellow and the hardener will be dyed blue so, when properly metered and blended, a consistent shade of green is achieved.

Each Laminating resin and hardener combination has unique physical, mechanical, and thermal properties. See the Technical Data Sheets in the table below for details.

STANDARD LAMINATING RESINS

  • LAM-125 Low Viscosity Laminating Resin
  • LAM-135 Medium Viscosity Laminating Resin
  • LAM-145 Thixotropic Laminating Resin

STANDARD LAMINATING HARDENERS

  • LAM-224 Fast Laminating Hardener
  • LAM-226 Medium Laminating Hardener
  • LAM-229 Slow Laminating Hardener
  • LAM-237 Extra-Slow Laminating Hardener
  • LAM-239 Extended Open-Time Hardener

TOUGHENED LAMINATING EPOXIES

These high-performance, toughened formulations are designed for synthetic composite manufacturing. Featuring a medium viscosity, it will wet out all synthetic composite fabrics and core materials. The thixotropic epoxy prevents drain out in heavy fabrics and on vertical surfaces. Our toughened resin can increase fatigue resistance of a laminate and improve adhesion to honeycomb core materials. PRO-SET® Laminating Epoxies develop good physical properties at room temperature and can be post-cured for enhanced performance.
