Standard Product OverviewThe Standard Products group includes epoxy products and process equipment. There is a group of laminating epoxy combinations that can be used for most manufacturing techniques, from resin infusion to open molding and use in an impregnating machine. An array of gel-like epoxy adhesives is available to bond nearly any material. Just as important as the products themselves is the Technical Support staff that helps customers choose the right product and manufacturing technique. The epoxy resins and hardeners in the Standard Products are numbered with a three-digit number. The resins begin with the number one and the hardeners begin with the number two. Lower numbers for resins indicate lower viscosity and lower hardener numbers indicate faster cure. Combinations are described by the resin and hardener numbers separated by a slash (e.g. 125/226). Refer to the Product Selector for additional information. Laminating EpoxiesEpoxy combinations that range from very low viscosity for resin infusion to very slow systems (12-hour open time) that allow wet bagging of large parts are available. Refer to the Product Selector guide to choose product data sheets. AdhesivesThe gel like epoxy adhesives are available in several cure speeds. Choose the appropriate combination based on the working time necessary or the materials being joined. Refer to the Adhesives Brochure for additional information. Low density Fairing Compound is available. It is easy to mix and spread and has good sanding characteristics. This filled epoxy combination will adhere to wood, FRP and metal. 185/285 is great for repair and is used for fairing in custom boat manufacturing. See the Technical Data Sheet for additional information. A selection of Process Equipment is available. There are small quantity metering pumps, manual and pneumatic adhesive dispensers, manual impregnating machines, and quality control dye. See the Process Equipment Brochure for additional information. |
